Images of the Kingdom

Welcome to Bedford First Assembly of God Podcast.  This week Pastor Bill McKee continues "Life Lessons from Mark" from Mark 9:33-37, 10:13-16.  Pastor shares two images of the kingdom from the scripture: 1) The child becomes the subject 'image' of the kingdom of God 2) To be first you must be the very last, the servant of all.  Listen as Pastor expounds on these characteristics of a child-like image to gain entrance in God's kingdom: Value, Simplicity, Weakness, Willingness to Learn, and Under Authority.

A Different Kind of Spirit

Welcome to Bedford First Assembly of God Podcast.  This week Pastor Bill McKee preaches on Jesus healing a boy with an evil spirit from Mark 9:14-29.  Pastor examines seven characteristics of evil spirits and the participants in the story.   There are two life lessons revealed from this passage: 1) Set our eyes, hope, and faith on Jesus and 2) As disciples and followers of Jesus, we must be spiritually prepared to deal with darkness at any time.  Greater is He (Jesus) that is in us then he (Satan) that is in the world.

Mark 9:1-13

Pastor Bill McKee teaches on the transfiguration of Jesus from Mark 9:1-13.  The message's life lesson is out of the words of the Father speaking to us "This is my Son whom I love, listen to Him."  Pastor shares on three aspects of the Father's words "listen to Him": 1) Listen to His voice - if anyone has ears to hear, let him hear, 2) Our consideration over what we hear dictates its worth in our lives - consider carefully what you hear, and 3) Our ability to hear controls our availability to hear more - with the measure you use, it will be measured to you and even more.  When we begin to listen to Jesus in His word, it will open up a floodgate of His desire into our lives.
